
DEPOSITS
- Deposit is due 3 weeks before your visit and is non-refundable.
- Three (3) week notice is required if you need to reschedule your visit. With less than three (3) weeks notice, your deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to secure the rescheduled date.
- Please call for details concerning weather cancellations.
- Non-refundable deposit of $50 required to reserve a date and time. Balance due at the time of your visit.
GROUP SIZE AND FEES
- The minimum scout group size is 8 children for the Geologist and Rocks Rock Badge programs.
- Please call in your head count in accordance with your confirmation letter.
- We reserve the right to co-book small groups.
TAX –EXEMPT STATUS
- A copy of your State of Connecticut Tax Exemption Permit must be received BEFORE the day of your visit otherwise you will be charged sales tax.
- No adjustments will be made to your bill after you transaction has been processed.
- When paying for the program, use your scout group’s checks or cash. If you use a personal check or credit card, tax will be collected per CT Sales and Use Tax Regulations.
ADULTS AND SIBLINGS
- One adult chaperone is required for every 10 kids.
- Adult chaperones and young siblings may watch the program free of charge, but must pay the associated fee if they participate in any activity, including Dinosaur Crossing park and trails.
- Siblings participating in the program are charged the full program amount.
- Any additional participants shall be included in your total bill.
ARRIVAL
- Group visits begin promptly at the agreed time outlined in your confirmation letter.
- If you arrive late, we will try to accommodate the delay, although we cannot guarantee staff, program or activity availability at an unscheduled time.
MEALS
- Food may be pre-ordered at group rates.
- No outside food will be allowed in the main building.
- Dinosaur Crossing admission includes the use of the park and picnic area.
HANDICAPPED ACCESS AND SPECIAL NEEDS
- Please let us know in advance of any requirements you may have.
- Our interactive exhibits are wheelchair accessible.
- Handicapped children may have an adult help them in the Jackpot Mine, Thunder Creek or The Bone Zone.
