
PAYMENT
- Reservations and Deposits are due 3 weeks prior to your visit and are non-refundable.
- The balance is due in one lump sum on the day of your visit unless other arrangements have been made.
- Dinosaur Crossing (seasonal) is open rain or shine. Deposit refunds are not issued for cancellations.
TAX-EXEMPT STATUS
- To be exempt from applicable CT sales tax, a copy of your Federal Determination Letter or State Exemption Permit (E-Number Permit) must be received BEFORE the day of your visit.
- No adjustments will be made to your bill after your transaction has been processed.
FEES
- The minimum group size to qualify for programs and discounted rates is 20 children.
- You will be charged the quoted price for each child attending the group visit minus your deposit.
- If your numbers increase or decrease by more than 8 students, 1-week notification is required.
- Unreported decreases are subject to an absentee fee.
ADULT CHAPERONES
- One adult chaperone required per 10 students
- Teachers and adult chaperones may attend indoor programs free of charge. However, they must pay the activity fee if they participate in any activity with a take-home treasure. Such fees must be included in your balance payment.
- For Dinosaur Crossing visits, one adult chaperone is free per 10 students (after 20 minimum is met). Admission fees for remaining adults must be included in your balance payment.
ARRIVAL
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your program start time. Students are to remain on the bus until greeted by a Staff Instructor.
- If your group arrives late, we will try to accommodate the delay. However, we cannot guarantee staff, program or activity availability at an unscheduled time. Please call 860-443-4367 if you are running late.
PARKING
- Buses MUST back into park on the grass area directly to the right when entering our parking lot.
- Children must be let out of the bus on the sidewalk area straight ahead from the entrance of our parking lot. Children cannot be dropped off directly outside of our Ice Cream Shop.
BUS DRIVER ACCESSIBILITY
- Bus Drivers given complimentary admission to the same itinerary as the group he/she arrived with. However, they must pay the activity fee if they participate in any activity with a take-home treasure. Such fees must be included in your balance payment.
- Bus Drivers that bring their children must pay the admission/activity fee if they participate.
LUNCH
- Initial food orders must be placed at least 2 weeks prior to your visit.
- Order confirmations must be received at least 3 days prior.
- Subject to space availability, bag lunches can be eaten indoors for a clean-up fee or in a designated outdoor area at no charge.
PHOTOGRAPHY
- Photography is allowed (and encouraged!) during programs and activities.
- Photography is not allowed our Gift Shop.
HANDICAPPED ACCESS AND SPECIAL NEEDS
- Our interactive exhibits are wheelchair accessible.
- Handicapped children may have an adult help in Jackpot Mine, Thunder Creek, or the Bone Zone.
- Wide-wheeled wheelchairs and strollers are recommended for natural gravel pathways in Dinosaur Crossing.
THE SHOPS
- Please mark the appropriate shopping choice on the confirmation letter.
- Chaperones must remain with the children while shopping and cashing out.
